Week 1 at Poppy's Place: Greenwood Village, CO CLICK on image to show larger view

The first 2 pieces here are done by "A". She is going blind. She was a pianist who played Carnegie Hall. She is from NYC.

This 3rd Piece is done by a gentleman who designed and built locomotive engines. He is 89 years old. In this piece he shows the year he first learned to paint, 1927. He was 8.

This gentleman who did the following 3 pieces, said when he started that he does not like to paint. He only painted cars. Here he seems to have done the "All-Seeing Eye", A cross, and a red howling ghost...plus - he said he really was enjoying himself!!!

This gentleman and his wife are next to one another. He provided the Mozart Tape we were all listening to. He said this is a moon that hopes it won't run into the Rocky Mountains, and some other images.

His wife, has Alzheimer's - she has not spoken since December. Today, she spoke, and wrote her name and her husband's name.

This lady had not painted since the 5th grade. She said that she had so much fun that she did another. She also wants to have paint left behind so she can work during the week.

This lady did this smiling face and the vine. She seemed to enjoy herself.

This series is done by one of the people who work at the facility. She seemed to really enjoy herself and it shows in her work!
