C used to be a painter. Today she had a lot of trouble, including dipping her finger in the red and putting it in her mouth, but my volunteers, the staff and I worked with her, and I believe that in time she may be able to return to painting. It's a good thing we are using non-toxic tempera paint!
You can't judge a book by it's cover and I am guilty of this still. G is wheelchair bound, and has both arms bandaged, yet her work is the most profound. She would have continued painting had she not been wheeled away to lunch.
G's 2nd piece.
K is "higher-functioning" and she did representational work.
K's 2nd piece.
MC was really embarrassed by her work and her comments were sarcastic, yet she did 6 pieces and she definately has something she wants to communicate visually to us. I find her pieces beautiful.

MH was the motivating force behind the whole room! She is very upbeat and lively. She likes to write in paint.

R is an artist - she told me she used to make art, and it's obvious. The next 5 pieces are hers. She was very happy to be painting again.
