K is an old hippie. He has MS and lives in the facility. He painted a peace sign first and then this ship.
This group is really awake! It is such a pleasure to be around them! The Activities Director is clearly on top of his game. He gives them lots of mind exercises to keep them mentally fit.
They are different than the other facilities I have been in so far. They all laugh and joke amongst themselves.
They laugh while they paint, in fact, 2 of them have art training and both new about the Left Brain/Right Brain shift.
It's so refreshing to see them invigorated and happy after the folks at some of the other places.
They encourage each other.
E is an artist - she is an abstract painter.
She says she has alot of stuff in her room, she has not been doing it for a while. I suggested that she and B, the other artist, spend some time and work together. I told them that I paint everyday. They seemed to find that inspiring.
What a jovial fellow!
F's 2nd piece got him off in a conversation about fishing for Walleye - he was envigorated!
N, the 11 yr old, did this painting! Very nice! She got the lead in a play in her drama class this week.
N will make a good actress!
X had never painted before today. She was unsure of herself but I am sure she will be back next week.
